Richard Cole

Richard Cole in Westmoreland County, Virginia named his plantation "Salisbury Park" and in 1674 gave instructions that his coat-of-arms be stamped in brass on his tombstone and that it be a slab of black marble, engraved in metal, which marble should be purchased in England after his death, brought over, and laid on the spot where he desired his body be buried.
